Made in China not necessary mean they are low quality, product quality is
depending on the "Quality System", if the company has a good quality system
and is duplicating the same in China, the quality will also be good.

My Sony and Samsung notebook computers were also made in PRC and they are
still working well after two years.

My whole career was devoted to electronics manufacturing (product
introduction section). The first half was in computer and second half was in
ballast manufacturing. The ballast factory is belonging to a German lighting
company and it is one of the biggest two in the world. The quality system is
straightly following the mother company's requirement and I can proudly say
they are very good.

The limitation to make a good quality product is "cost", we (and our
suppliers) are forced to source new low cost suppliers and risking some
unknown factors which can only be rectified after some problem happen (by
helping the new suppliers to improve the quality).

BTW, there are design quality and manufacturing quality. Based on my
experience for the high end devices, the design quality is more important.
Especially for the time critical product, the design cycling time could be
too short.
