I've also used ZoneAlarm for many years, and it's always been rock
solid. When I abandoned my long used AV, Norton, in disgust at what it
had become, I bought a three pack of ZA's full package, including
AV/Malware for $0 after rebate.
I've been pleased enough with it that I paid for the renewal of the
AV/Malware updates on my main machine.
When the license expired on the laptop and backup machine, I may go back
to the free ZA firewall and try avast.
