I have been working for ages with PC. Last year I bought a MacBookPro
2,2Ghz/2Gb/160/8600M/LED Screen.
I think everybody knows the experience of updating your computer and
realize that Windows runs with the same low speed, you lost everyday
your system configuration, speakers setup, etc... You lose personal data
when Windows crashes, etc...
Leopard works faaaast, flawlessly, Time machine is a dream, everything
you configure is kept forever, etc... Performance ;-) I work with
photography, PS photo retouching, Illustrator, etc... and system
performance is far beyond of whatever PC.
I also have bought an Early MAC PRO 2008 on January. I have created a
RAID with two Western Digital 7500AYYS RE2 disks. Another Western
Digital Mybook II external disk is used for RAW storage and Time
Machine. Nvidia 8800GT/ 1x2,8 Xeon Penryn, 4 Gbytes and performance is
stellar!!! My computer never crashed since I bought it in January!!!
NEVER. I cannot believe it.
Raw processing pipeline is blazing fast.
What can I say? I know when you hear something about MAC can be
publicity/marketing but now I must say that working with MAC is simply a
dream. Windows looks like a f*c*i*g nightmare.
I am waiting for the forthcoming new iMAC to put it at the office.
Today I am converting and repairing my Outlook Express mails. Everything
within Windows fails!!! I have bought DBXpress software today for
recovering my 4500 messages from the business. PC isn´t serious at all.
Visit your local Apple store and ask them for a demo.
I have a Cinema Display 23" calibrated with Coloreyes but MacBookPRO
screen is awesome. You cannot go wrong with either.
If I were you I would buy a MAC. Throw away your PC laptop and feel the
new experience. ;-)
