Ken,

I would have to agree with you.  I don't have older OM glass, but do have 
some older Pentax Takumar lenses that I have used on the E-510.  Although I 
have a 50/1.4, which is reputed to be one of the best of the Takumar lenses, 
I really like the look I get with the cheaper 55/1.8 Tak. At the equivalent 
of a 110mm on the E-510, it is nice for portrait work in natural light, and 
is a nice change from the Zuiko 14-54 which I normally use.
