The prices on the cheap yabe radio slaves are less than 1/2 of 2 years
ago. I am on my 3rd set. I have a spare receiver and sometimes use both
but one transmitter. I tested them before use and it worked for a bit
and another failure at a bad time a week ago---bah. The seller
Magic_trigger is quite good. ( All the transmitters, receivers look
like clones from many of the sellers.)
He usually responds to e-mail within a few hours. He cross shipped a
new transmitter when the old one crumped and was under warranty. The
current one was not under warranty but he is sending a replacement
anyway---need to ship the old one back.

Worth the hassle factor? not really, but they do work.
The PocketWizzards are too much of a PocketPicker for my taste, unless
my livlihood depended on them.
I am hoping the Radiopopper Jr will be out in the next few
months--slated for the 4th quarter, but suspect it will be delayed
due to production issues with the plastic. They are purported to have a
range measured in parsecs with a estimated street price of 25 bucks.
(I know, still vaporware)
They state they will "not sacrifice reliability for economy" despite a
goal of keeping the cost way down.
Their P1 is shipping and supports the TTL protocols of Can/Nik. The P8
is slated to be released with the RadioPopper Jr. The tech on the phone
stated he saw some of the developers running around with Oly flashes.
The chip on the P1 has no room to support another protocol, though the
P8 does. They should be cheaper than the pocktwizzards and will support
TTL at least for many. Whether the TTL protocol from Oly with the E-x,
is worth doing this for, I haven't a clue.
They are still vaporware as well. Manual is never a bad answer.
