Ektar 100 has lower color saturation, finer grain, narrow exposure latitude 
compared with normal Gold film, avoid under expose it. With Vuescan, the 
Gold 100/200 and Fuji HG200 seems have more linear color compared with Ektar 
100.

Below is the setting I used to scan all negatives recently, with this 
setting, most of the Gold 100/200 and Fuji HG200  images only require simple 
level and curve but Ektar 100 require more on individual channel adjustment.

Color bal: None
Curve low/high: 0.5
Brightness: 2.5
R/G/B: 1
Negative vendor: Generic (do not specify film type, it causes more trouble)
Scanner color space: Built-in
Output color space: sRGB
Scanner: Nikon 4000ED
