Thanks for the quick reply chuck, yes I am pretty sure it's a T-mount by
your description, the threads between the lens and the M42 adaptor
appear
to be 42mmx<1mm.
I will have a look at an adaptor and report back... 800mm on the OM
aught to
be fun, at least I could focus it decently because I can see what I am
doing :-)
