forecast: (-10F is -23C)
"Low pressure from the Great Lakes will bring us light snow after 4am
tonight. Expect less than an inch of accumulations by the morning.
During the late morning this low will merge with a coastal low to bring
us a period of moderate snow. Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins
Counties of NY and Tioga and Bradford Counties of PA will see about 1-3"
by Sunday Night. Tioga, Cortland, Broome, Chenango, Counties of NY and
Susquehanna and Wayne Counties of PA will see 2-4" of snow. Places to
the East of I-81 will see about 3-6 inches of snow. Isolated locations
through Delaware and Otsego Counties could see a tad more than 7 inches
by Sunday night. Snow will be tapering off by Sunday afternoon, but then
the winds will pick up. Winds will be from the West at 15-20 mph gusting
up to 35 mph. This will bring blowing and drifting snow with very cold
conditions. Visibilities will become very low and traveling is not
recommended. Tomorrow's high temperature will be near 27 degrees. As
temperatures drop to near 10 by nighttime, wind chills will be about -10
degrees. Make sure you bundle up! Some lake effect showers will
overspread the area Sunday night bringing an extra inch of snow through
Monday."
