Great story. I see your attachment to the fingerless gloves. Still,
I'm looking for something that is less "survivalist" in nature. I can
keep everything warm enough for photography, which involves more
standing around than running to evade capture, except my hands,
especially if a tripod is involved. Fortunately, with E-3, I don't
need to tripod as much as I have in the past.
I guess if I bother to do the math, the equivalent of -22F is more
like -30C -- not that it makes much of a difference -- it's just
bitter down there.
I should try to find out what glove Michael Reichmann uses, since he's
always talking about shooting with gloves and how good a camera is in
winter, blah-blah-blah.
I'll bet that herdsman got treated to a bottle of single-malt a few
weeks later if I know the RAF. ;^)
