I think that might be a bit beyond Chris' pocket!
I'd concur with the advice on the Russians - you can pick them up  
from the Ukraine for almost nothing and while the quality is variable  
and they'll often have a problem like a sticky helical, it's worth he  
chance. The Industar 61 L/D f2.8 has it's fans and sells for around  
$30 + $12 postage but make sure it's the late model, all black 55mm  
version. There's a 50/2 available for about the same and an old  
50/3.5 Collapsible for less but the Model 61 has rare earth glass  
(Lanthanum). They were made for the late, unlamented Fed 5 body and  
as those have died, the lenses were orphaned. You'll need a cheap  
Chinese M adapter to go with it as all the Russians are screw mount.
