Aside from recordshots/snapshots, I'm not fond of taking 
smile-at-the-camera photos ("fake smile" or not), and thus I frequently 
get, from my own mum and from my siblings (as parents) "It's a shame you 
didn't get them to smile". I like just saying "Oi! [Name]!" and clicking 
when they turn. Generally they're all pretty used to me having the 
camera around anyway, so I get my "unaware" shots too ("It's a shame 
they're not looking at the camera"). I admit it's a little demotivating 
at times when the family doesn't appreciate my selection of favourites:

I therefore tend to take far more pictures of my dogs and inanimate 
objects. :)
