It would if you applied the same amount of "photoshop" to yours as he had to
his.  That sky wasn't nearly as dramatic in reality as it was in the final
print.

Besides, the trees grew.

Joel talks about being stuck in a landscape rut. This is a good point of
discussion.  When is something, no matter how well executed, just a repeat
of what you (or somebody else) has done before?

Remember the 1970's landscape photographs?  Every single one was framed by
trees and branches. ~YAWN~  It took me 20 years to figure out how to
photograph the Taquamenon Falls without the spruces creating a vignette. But
guess what--the framed shot is the one that sold.  Grrrr.

If I see one more picture of a mountain reflecting in a lake I'm going to
puke--but I still take those same pictures at every opportunity.

Let's face it--we're all plagiarists of others and own selves.
