Chris,
Aside from the sleek aerodynamics, the thing that I recall about the B-58
was the crew escape capsule. It was designed so that, in the event of the
need to eject, each crew member was encapsulated to protect him from the
high speed airstream. I conducted wind tunnel tests of the stability system
for the escape capsule.
