The paper companies pride themselves in making their lands accessible  
to the public. I think they get a lot of PR value out of it. <g>  
There's a hell of a fight going on up around Moosehead now, though.  
Some development company wants to put in what amounts to a _huge_  
planned unit development with hundreds of home sites, condos, marinas,  
etc. Eat up a lot of the east shore of the lake, as I recall. The long  
knives are out and flashing! But then since real estate went in the  
toilet, I haven't heard anything from up that way. I wonder if the  
project dried up and blew away.
