Actually, it's called a crawler crane, as it moves on tracks. It is quite 
large, and is indeed used in construction. European and Asians may be more 
used to seeing a Tower Crane in this situatiuon, but those are much less 
common here.

The ones with large tires (tyres) are called Rough Terrain Cranes.
