I'm glad you say that as I find exactly the same thing. I had put it  
down to some kind of wrong-headed thought process on my part, as Nikon  
wheels spin the same way. Fortunately there's the option to reverse  
the direction on a camera body, but that just makes it even less  
intuitive when I pick up the meter.
