I can also tell the difference from a CD and an mp3 BUT only because I
have heard it on a "proper" system, If I hadn't and had only just heard
the mp3 I wouldn't know what I was missing and thats the problem (or
not) youngsters don't know what they are missing, mind you I never get
time to really sit and listen any more so the computer with really good
speakers and mp3 is fine as a compromise.
I have said this before, but I think things can be to clean and clinical
and that is why some of us still like vinyl or film.
