Tiger Direct is Systemax that is/was a Long Island Computer maker. They
also bought out the remaining assets of Circuit City. I got a bare bones
computer kit from compusa. MSI motherboard, AMD 64 x2 dual core 2.6G,
450W power supply, 250G sata Seagate HD, $200 no shipping. Upgraded the
power supply to 500W dual rail Thermaltake, added 1 TB sata HD, NVidia
GEForce 9800 graphics card, DVD burner and DVD reader, a couple of case
fans. Man, those sata HDs are really quiet. Can't hear ANY searching.
Put operating system (XP Pro) on C partition by itself, very nice.
