Deleting files on the CF card (in camera) may not necessarily catch
everything. As a general rule the delete command will wipe out the
RECOGNIZED directories within the DCIM folder. But if you use multiple
brands of cameras, each brand creates a file folder name that isn't
recognized by the other camera brand and it may be left alone.
So, let's say you are using both Canon and Minolta cameras and you have
placed the CF card in both and shot some pictures. When you do a delete all
on one of the cameras it will definitely erase it's own directory, but the
alternative brand pictures will remain intact. Almost without exception, a
Delete All within a camera will not touch any directories outside of DCIM.
