I'm with you about the quality of 35/2, it is good enough for most 
applications, it is better to worry about focus accuracy due to the narrow 
DOF.

Talking about lens performance 24/2 really provide very fine details at wide 
open, the little softness is not an issue for digital sensor (easy 
corrected). What even better is the performance of 50/1.4 SC at F2, besides 
fine details, it is also very clean and sharp, the best lens for its money.
