Two amazing things;

This 'cheapo' ViewSonic CRT G75ƒ+, resolves all of the black squares, 
and all of the white squares, and is dead-on in gamma values ... too 
accurate !!.

Second: yesterday I bought a Spyder2 Pro at BH :-(

Yes there is flare where you locate it, but cannot see it in the small .jpg
It's very clear on the 100% .tiff, in my monitor.
