It's quite interesting how much relative value is in the E-system in
that you can get a 7-14 + 620 body for less than a D5MkII body alone,
and the price of the lens on B&H seems to have gone up about $100
IIRC.

I was at a wedding over the weekend and did a lot of shooting with the
E-3 from the edges. Invariably I have a conversation at these things
about camera gear. My young nephew is thinking about getting a DSLR,
etc. He hadn't heard about Olympus, was thinking about an XTii , etc.
Perhaps it's a disservice not to steer him to one of the Bigs, but
they look at the cost difference and can't help but be compelled to
look further. I'm not doing anything to sell Olympus other than hold
it up to my face.

I've got a friend at work and I honestly tried to be as impartial as I
could and even told him that many smart erstwhile Olympus partisans
see 4/3 as a dead end decision, but he wouldn't be deterred. He got a
used 500 and then a 510 and has now started working his way back into
OM. He shot a roll with an OM10 I gave him and was blown away. Since
then he's bought an OM-2 and OM-2S. Maybe we're all in a fool's
paradise, but he's having a ball and making very nice images.
