Have you ever seen/handled/used one? It's clearly not a true OM, but
neither is it cheesy feeling. A nice, solid feeling little body. It has
features that are either unique or unique combined in one body, within
OMdom.

1. All mechanical. Battery is only for light meter.

2. Full mirror-aperture pre-fire. 1 & 2 together are unique in a useful way.

3. Adjustable delay, mechanical self-timer. Important as it means only a
3-4 sec. minimum wait for pre-fire vs. fixed 12 sec. on OM-2Sp and OM-4
series. You can actually activate and use it for vibration control about
as quickly than the mechanical aperture/mirror lock-up mechanism on a
Nikon F2, depending on your manual dexterity. 2 & 3 together are unique
in a useful way.

4. 1/2000 shutter speed

5. 1/125 flash sync. Fastest of any OM and twice that of the non AF bodies.

6. Truly unique - It's the only OM mount body ever to feature perfectly
registered multiple exposures without pain. On all other OMs, one must
wind the film tight with the rewind crank and hold that, while
activating the rewind lever or button and cocking the shutter with the
advance lever. It's a high dexterity dance with minimal chance of
complete success. Too much tension and the film moves back, too little
and it moves forward. The OM2000 has a little lever that decouples the
wind lever from the film advance mechanism, allowing the shutter to cock
with no film movement at all.

There are a few uses for which it is the best OM mount film body.
