If your scanner setting works ok for printer profile it is highly possible
that it will not look right in sRGB display, if your monitor is set to the
same than we will never see what you see. I have all my image set to sRGB,
they will be converted to printer profile when going out for making prints.

I usually do not make blank shot with the first frame but I don't rely on it
for important shots.
