Here is the current price for my rebuilding battery T45 Battery Packs:
Rebuild with 900 mAh NiCD batteries (as per original): $100. This price
includes return shipping to your location within the Continental USA.
Additional shipping as necessary for other locations.

The rebuilt battery pack using the NiCD batteries will charge correctly,
with no problems whatsoever, in the standard charger. As the Olympus
charger is, uh, dumb, I highly recommend that you charge the battery based
on temperature. When the battery pack starts to get warm, stop charging. As
long as it remains cool a NiCD pack will still be charging. As an option, I
can

Rebuild with 2300 mAh NiMH batteries: $120. This price includes return
shipping to your location within the Continental USA. Additional shipping as
necessary for other locations.

The rebuilt battery pack using the NiMH batteries are NOT intended to be
charged in an unmodified standard charger. NiMH cells do not take to kindly
to being cooked and are quite unforgiving. Also, note that the T45 flash is
a high-current device and the NiMH batteries may not give as much additional
performance over the NiCD batteries as you'd think. If you choose to charge
the NiMH batteries in the Olympus charger, I recommend careful monitoring of
the batteries' voltage to know when to stop charging. Technically, there is
no reason why the NiMH cells wouldn't work and will probably give 50% to
250% increase in number of flashes with a slightly increased recycle time,
but you must know that the NiMH cells are a bit more finicky. I cannot be
held responsible for damages or caused by the NiMH or to the NiMH cells.

When I order the cells for a rebuild, I order extra batteries and match
cells within each string. There are 20 cells in five strings.

Standard turnaround time is two-weeks from time of receipt of the battery
pack

A newly rebuilt battery pack using the 900mAh NiCD batteries will recharge a
T45 from a full-dump flash in about 1.5 to 1.8 seconds. Olympus promoted
the flash as recharging in about 1.2 seconds, but I suspect that the newer
NiCD cells have greater internal resistance. Olympus also states that the
original battery pack is capable of about 100 full-dump flashes, whereas I
estimate my rebuilt pack giving over 150. I'm not quite sure exactly how
many because I'm usually using reduced power or auto. At a recent event I
shot over 75 full-dump flashes and around 400 auto flashes. There was
still battery life left--I have yet to completely drain the new pack.
