Yes, Bill, I just picked it up off the shelf in my garage, to see if it had 
any instructions concerning replacing the mantle.  I have used it very 
little, and last time was years ago. It has a single mantle and a small 
chamber that is filled with alcohol and fired off to heat up the system and 
get the kerosene flowing.

I think you are correct that most of the older Colemans used white gas.
