Perhaps 72 is a just a lazy habit on my part, but PS and PSE won't let you
blank out the value when you resize an image - you have to choose
*something* (or leave it as is). GraphicConverter on the Mac requires a
setting (if you blank it out, it defaults to 20!), whereas Irfanview does
allow you to blank it out.
I haven't looked at the definition of the field in the JPEG format, but
assume it's numeric and requires some value. What do you recommend, if
that's the case? Just leave it as the camera/scanner/etc. set it in the
first place?
