unbelievable ... where does that word come from. Trombosis does not
come from trombone, but you gave me a good laugh Ken. Trombosis, comes
from the Latin, from Hipocrates and Galeno (shall not translate their
names ... ).

Same with 'swelling' - I had to study the origin of that word and its
associations. In medicine <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edema> never
posed me a problem, but not long ago I understood the meaning of a
poem by Peter Gabriel "Here Comes The Flood". He sings "Still waiting
for the swollen Eastern tide" - then I understood. A patient of mine
is British, I had read my Oxford dictionary - and a whole different
associative logic of 'hinchazón' became clear to me.
