Ah, yes. Eastern point. Moose already has posted some beauties and
look fwd to more from his trip.

I think we stared at "Mother Ann" rock formation, but it didn't
register with me, at least.

The poet/writer Elizibeth Stuart Phelps took exception ot the whistling
buoy known as "Mother Ann's Cow" (See poem--3rd link)
due to a "nervous ailment." From May to Oct it was ordered removed by
the Sec of the Navy. (1st link) Later
she was married to the Reverend Herbert Ward and the Boston Record
reported:

"Since her marriage Mrs. Ward is much better, and the officer who
had to remove the buoy has put it back with the assurance that next
summer he will have no orders to disturb it."
Hmmm.

I had a chance to try Moose's Sigma 600 CAT--impressed with the close
focus ability (S-Cass design?). Thanks, Moose. With sunny 16 could
have used the faster shutter of the 4T in lieu of the OM-2 I had loaded
up.

Not bad, on a clear day, for capturing the Boston skyline - along with a
gaff rigged schooner for interest.

Taken with an OM mount Sigma 600/8 mirror lens with adapter. Not a bad
image hand-held and through a lot of low, right over the sea atmosphere.
One of those circunstances where the donut halos don't turn up.

Very little gull poop when we were there, and just the normal smell of
sea and harbor. I suppose the heavy seas from a couple of hurricanes
this year cleaned it off.
