They can't.  But there was no mention of a polarizer for reflections and 
no specific mention of haze other than using a typical UV filter to 
improve contrast.  Most UV filters are pretty weak and I think whatever 
they likely do can be done by reducing blue and increasing contrast. 
But I'll be happy to be shown wrong on the UV filter front.  If so I'll 
start using one.  Right now the only filter I carry is a polarizer.
