Actually, it was a huge improvement when you figure "short side"
measurement.

The RB system was a home-run hit for Mamiya. Once for ounce the lenses were
slightly less impressive than those for the Hasselblads, but with the
reduced enlargement factor, it was made up for.  The rotating back gave the
best of both worlds--no need to move the camera for various formats and
in-camera composition to a given format.

I'd get an M6 or M7 system, but the prices remain obscenely high. For some
reason there is greater demand for that Rangefinder system than there is for
the SLR systems in medium format.  Maybe it's because those lenses are so
good.
