Well, that is a very good point.  Blinking highlights would not be
helpful in every situation, only those where the range of values is
apt to exceed what the sensor can capture, but I think that was the
circumstance that this conversation originally envisioned.  I don't
certainly don't worry about blown highlights on a cloudy day, etc.

Perhaps, after all, a live histogram would be the best compromise
overall in an EVF camera.
