Agree, good troubleshooting algorithm.

A couple of advices I received directly from John: 1- do not over
tighten the screws !. It's enough to have them screwed, not over. He
found my refurbished 4Ti to have its bottoms screws too tight, and
told me to leave them as he did. They were so much so, in fact, that I
didn't insist on unscrewing them because my smallest screwdriver
'might be' a cross point but they didn't move a single split-degree
counterclockwise.
2- He may have spare screws, as mine had one which must be replaced -
damaged by over-torque ... :-)
