There was a huge northeaster the night before that shifted a lot of
sand around. The sand wall along the "creek" isn't usually anywhere
near that high. But I take your point. Maybe the next time I'm there
I'll be of a mind to try a pano. It really is a spectacular place,
especially when it isn't crawling with tourists.
