On an old USAF transport (C-4x?) in the early 60s, the honey bucket was 
only necessary for shooting. For peeing, there was a rubber hose 
attached to a hole in the bottom of the fuselage with a narrow, hard 
rubber funnel on the top end. Stick Willie's head in the funnel and let 
'er fly.

Man it was noisy in that thing.
