I work in the telephone industry where we can send OC-192 / 10G through
hundreds of miles of ancient fiber-optic cables that have been spliced so
many times that the lasers almost shut down from the reflections.  We can
also send 100mbps of data over a mile long pair of twisted copper wires
dating back to the '60s. I really have a hard time believing that a "Monster
Cable" HDMI cable is going to improve the signal any.
