Hi Candace,

Thanks for the kind words.  I also have a 55/1.8 Takumar, and it is probably 
sharper than the 50/1.4.  However, there are times when having a 1.4 lens on 
the camera can make a difference.  This shot, which I took at a Christmas 
gathering, shows what the 1.4 is capable of providing.
