Back from eagling, Chris. Shot a few and doubtless killed many a
harmless and ineffectual digital. Waiting for the thumbnails to come
up on the other computer to see if I got anything worthwhile. It was
a fun effort for the three of us, though a bit cold at times.

So far as I know, gradation or SAT is an in-camera process similar to
what one might do in PP to raise shadows and lower highlights. It
does not change exposure per se.

Hope that helps,
Joel W.
