That's what they would cost in the UK, Charlie.  It's a high-power CF bulb.  
Prices are coming down for most normal CF bulbs, down around GBP1.50, but 
specialist shapes, sizes, fittings or power are still expensive.

I think they're great; I now resent using normal incandescent bulbs in the few 
places in the house where they're still fitted.
