This is the problem that I have had with older AF systems. Fo'r me, AF
either needs to be very fast and dead on, or forget it. If I need to
"adjust" with prefocusing and other things, then forget it, MF is simpler,
easier and more accurate.
The AF on my D3 is quite good, and generally reliable, but the MF on my M9
is not to be sneezed at. The MF on my OM4 is still the best.
