However, I tried to repair it and... it's working again! Yeah!

Not sure if I really had to dissasemble the front group, but I managed to
straighten the well-knocked filter ring enough -- it's scary to see a hammer
that close to the glass!

The culprit was CA975100, according to the parts' list. I wasn't able to
re-fit it without locking the lens again, so I tried to reassemble it
without that part... seems to be working fine, though.

Now I wonder... what was the function of that part? Is it something related
to the close-focus correction mechanism, and if so, I have screwed its
performance :-( ?

Or could I live without the part? It isn't gonna see much use, I have to
admit -- damned rangefinder renaissance... ;-)
