The hood is tricky - requires an adapter ring - the set isn't easy to
find cheap. I have it but I used to use a cheap 52mm screw in.
When I used the fifty on a 10D/20D etc, I had a homebrew 'dome' hood
that worked brilliantly as it was so compact. It is the front
retaining ring off a ruined Tamron 90/2.5 macro (the later, plastic
version), reversed and screwed into a nice 52mm UV filter. Unique and
perfect. I'm getting a Canon 550D (Webel T2i) this week so I'll have
to dust it off.
I have a friend who shoots in the studio from time to time - he used
to work for Canon Aus. It's one of his favorite lenses - if he's
forgotten it, he borrows mine. Just think - a good 80/1.8 equivalent
for less than $150 - any Canon user who hasn't got one hasn't been
listening.
I think I'm personally responsible for at least 200 sales of them.

Nice pics Moose - like the way that you've kept them tungsten warm.
