Most of the eastern United States, especially the states around the Great
Lakes like Indiana, are dotted with enormous numbers of small lakes. There
are more than 100 lakes just in the northeast part of Indiana! Little
aluminum rowboats like mine are perfect for fishing these small lakes. My
boat is a flat bottom boat, 14 feet long. It has a very shallow draft and
can thus go in very shallow water. I have a small gasoline outboard motor
for it and an electric motor that runs off a car battery as well. It is
illegal on some of the lakes here to use a gas motor because of the size of
the lake.

In Australia there are probably few natural lakes, so a small boat like mine
probably is useless, but here they're very nice to have. Mine's light enough
that two guys can carry it easily by the handles that are attached to the
front and back.
