I quite agree Nathan...BUT I only paid $1100. for the camera (body only):-0
It is simply a very satisfying machine to use.
To counter Andrew's point about the last great Leica being an M4 I would beg to 
differ. I find the lack of a lightmeter on my M4 to be an irritation at times.
The M6 is still a "pure" camera, but the addition of a simple light meter makes 
it far more "user friendly". As Chris pointed out it has its limitations - 
forget about long lenses and macro - but for 15mm to 75mm it is superb. 
Voigtlander lenses are available at a reasonable price and give very good 
results...it suits me   ;-O
