A few months ago I bought a cheapie external viewfinder for my Panny GF-1.
It's marked "Helios" and has brightframes for 35 - 135. Well, I have used it
once or twice, but today I went to photograph bluebells in one of my local
woods and discovered that the viewfinder is not aligned to the lens. In fact
it is useless.
I have checked my rather lovely CV 25mm viewfinder on both my LX-3 and the GF-1
and it is nicely aligned, so the fault must lie with the cheapie vf.
So, I am now in the market for a secondhand CV 40mm viewfinder, preferably from
someone in Europe (imports from outside Europe attract the attention of HM
Customs, and the Post Office charges GBP8 for the effort of showing HM Customs
the parcel ...).
