The Zuiko 135 f4.5 macro has this characteristic--very easy to see.
Wide open is really F4 for focusing but f4.5 during exposure.
If I had a 250 f2 I'd gladly check. I am more than happy to do some
extensive testing on your copy to confirm what you say. :-)
