Many thanks to Chuck for offering to handle buying this lens.
However, since I get the Olympus newsletter in DIGEST form, once a day at
10pm local time, both Chuck's e-mails and the auction had passed me by
before I got his mails.
I would not have paid that final price for it anyway. There are at least
3 of these lenses new on the 2nd hand global market each day, the asking
prices vary enormously, and very few sellers seem to know the true quality
of what they are selling. This one was at the upper end of the range,
although some German sellers seem to have a *very* inflated idea of their
worth on the market, twice what this one went for.
I can (and will) wait.
