We visited at the end of June last year and enjoyed beautiful weather.
But I think the fog arrives a bit later as you drive north. After June
the chance of fog greatly increases.
It is my experience that the so-called "best" sections of coast and the
areas most talked about are, no surprise, the ones with a road right
near the beach. This is both a blessing and a curse. In Oregon the
highway tends to hug the coast making beautiful areas accessible. This
accessibility spawns stretches like Canon Beach now the arm pit of the
north coast. If I were you Moose I'd turn around at Tillamook.
