[OM] LAN woes have disappeared, was: LAN woes

Subject: [OM] LAN woes have disappeared, was: LAN woes

The LAN has mysteriously healed itself after resting over night. The
only thing I can see that's different this morning is that the laptop
and desktop have exchanged addresses which I assume is controlled by the
order in which they were booted this morning.

Perhaps there's a heat related problem with one of the computers (most
likely the laptop) since both were off over night while the router and
modem remained powered on. I'll have to watch for that. If it recurs
I'll power down the laptop to let it cool and see if that fixes things
again.

Thanks for the help.
