Possibly... probably even, but in order for live view to work, the
shutter must also open, then close again before the actual exposure
unless there's some sort of electronic shuttering such as in a compact
camera, which is presumably what micro 3/4 cameras do.  It probably
seemed simpler to keep mirror & shutter interlocked than to separate
them completely and keep the mirror up permanently whilst live view is
active.

Reading your post through again, Chuck, I think that's just rephrasing
what you were getting at, no?
